Rose taking part in the "Face-Off" portrait painting contest at the Portrait Society of America's 2010 conference in Reston, VA.  Her finished portrait received the most votes from conference participants, and Rose won the opportunity to paint another portrait in a demo that was open to all of the conference's hundreds of attendees.  (See the portrait of Tony Pro below.)
